For the Children

"Each second we live is a new and unique moment of the universe, a moment that will never be again... And what do we teach our children?  We teach them that two and two make four, and that Paris is the capital of France. When will we also teach them what they are? We should say to each of them: Do you know what you are? You are a marvel. You are unique. In all the years that have passed, there has never been another child like you.  Your legs, your ams, your clever fingers, the way you move.  You may become Shakespeare, a Michelangelo,  a Beethoven.  You have the capacity for anything. Yes, you are a marvel.  And when you grow up, can you harm another who is, like you, another marvel? You must work, we must all work to make the world worthy of its children." -Pablo Casals

Spoken from the Heart

Brian Andreas, creative writer and illustrator, never fails to amaze me. Here are just a few of his amazing stories:

Leaving Pieces
"She left pieces of her life behind her everywhere she went. It's easier to feel the sunlight without them, she said."

Connection
"There came a moment in the middle of the song when she suddenly felt every heartbeat in the room & after that she never forgot she was part of something much bigger."

Just Friends
"I saw them standing there pretending to be just friends, when all the time in the world could not pry them apart."

Kindred Spirits"You're the strangest person I ever met, she said and I said, you too. And we decided we'd know each other a long time."

Real Hero
"Anyone can slay a dragon, he told me, but try waking up every morning & loving the world all over again. That's what takes a real hero."

Hard to Impress
"Hard to impress because she's already seen the sun rise today & it doesn't get much better than that."

Soul Mates
"How can you be sure it has a soul? She said. You can't, I said, unless you've got one yourself."
